Red haired man smiling in front of brick wall

Coleman Monroe is an Atlanta-based band leader, freelance musician, and producer. He is inspired by all sorts of styles: from rock, indie, folk, jazz, and punk, to pop, dance, hip-hop, R&B, and experimental. He has a particular love for the contemporary practice of music and performance.

Originally from Greenville, South Carolina, Coleman studied jazz at the city’s Fine Arts Center and earned a B.A. in audio engineering from Clemson University. Coleman has spent most of his time since school performing with multiple live bands, composing and producing songs and albums for independent artists, managing live and broadcasted music for venues and radio stations, and teaching others to play. He specializes in guitar, bass guitar, and keyboard, but is also notable on piano, ukulele, drum kit, and voice. Outside of music and production, Coleman is a major fan of world history and video games, crediting both as musical inspiration.
