Meet Julia Urbank
Piano, Voice & Music Together Teacher

Originally from Northampton, MA, Julia graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst in 2019 with a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance and a minor in Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. While at UMass, Julia performed roles in multiple operas, including Hansel in Hansel and Gretel, and served as the Teaching Assistant for freshmen courses in ear training and sight singing. After graduating, Julia began a Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. While at UW Madison, Julia taught private voice lessons, served as the Teaching Assistant for freshmen courses in Music Theory and Aural Skills, and sang the roles of Dorabella in Così fan tutte and Hermia in A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Julia finished her MM degree in May 2021 and moved to Atlanta immediately afterward.
As a teacher, Julia strives to inspire joy and love of music and singing in a stress-free environment. She believes that music can be transformative for people of all ages when they are given the freedom to be creative and express their authentic selves. Julia specializes in classical and musical theater singing but loves exploring all styles of music. In addition to teaching voice and piano, Julia is a preschool teacher and cat lover.
