Meet Mekensie Gonzalez

My name is Mekensie Gonzalez and I have been teaching in multiple avenues for the past 6 years. I have a degree in Early Childhood Education and Development from the University of Central Florida. I have been an active member in the arts community since I was five years old, performing and studying dance, piano, and voice. I am classically trained in piano and voice am an Alumni of Gemini Blvd., a collegiate acapella group at the University of Central Florida. I have 4 years of teaching experience in the public school setting both in the general classroom and as a music teacher for grades K-5 as well as 3 years’ experience teaching piano, voice, and introduction to music privately. My teaching philosophy is simple, connection is key! Building relationships and truly helping my students see their own potential and love for music is my number one priority. Children and students must love what they are doing and feel supported and nurtured in order to grow and learn. I am honored to be able to provide knowledge, appreciation, and an enjoyable experience for all of my students. I love playing piano and singing as an adult and am incredibly grateful to pass my love and enjoyment onto a new generation.
